Digital X-Ray
This is a type of x-ray imaging where an electronic sensor is used to create the image rather than photographic x-ray film. The sensor does not require as many x-rays to pass through the patient in order to create the image and it therefore reduces the radiation dose for routine examinations. Because there is no film to develop, the whole process is also a lot faster and the digital images can be sent to doctors all over the world.
C-Arm Fluoroscopy
A c-arm image intensifier is a type of x-ray machine that can be used in surgical procedures allowing images of the body to be taken rapidly and displayed on an image monitor. Viewing the images of the area, helps guide the physician during the procedure and often means that a much smaller excision is necessary.
